Honda claims it has developed the world’s first production motorcycle powered by an eco-friendly fuel that mixes bio-ethanol and gasoline. The new motorcycle will be on sale in Brazil from mid-March.

Honda’s CG150 Titan Mix will be powered by 150 cc engines. Honda decided it would be easier to launch the product in Brazil, which is one of the world’s largest producers of bio-ethanol, since approximately 90 percent of new automobiles in the country are already running on bio-ethanol mixed fuel.

The newly developed engine requires, at ambient temperatures below 15 degrees, a minimum share of 20% conventional fuel in the tank,

Bio-fuel made from sugarcane in Brazil is around a third cheaper than regular gasoline.
