Navistar International and Iveco Trucks Australia have decided to terminate their supply, technical assistance and licence agreement. The deal, under which Iveco markets some of Navistar’s International brand trucks in Australia, will end from 9 October this year.

After that date, Navistar products will be designed, manufactured and distributed by NC2, the global commercial truck joint venture between Navistar and Caterpillar.

Under a separate agreement, Iveco will continue to provide parts, service and support for International trucks in Australia for a period of seven years. In addition, Iveco will continue to build and sell its existing ADR80-02 stock of International trucks, which is currently estimated to extend to around June 2011.

Existing warranties for vehicles sold through this time will continue in force under their original terms.
