ID.7 is aimed at Europe’s ‘upper mid-size’ segment
Volkswagen of America said in a statement it was delaying introduction of the ID.7 sedan in the US and Canada “as market dynamics continue to change”.
The ID.7 has sold in Europe since 2023 and VW claimed, following the introduction of the Tourer (estate car/wagon) variant, “customer demand for the models is higher than expected, especially in Germany”.

VW so far offers only the ID.4 EV SUV in North America, with a different range and specifications, and the fourth quarter arrival of the 2025 ID. Buzz will add a longer, three-row seating variant not so far offered in Europe.
