Toyota Logistics Services (TLS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), USA, plans to import and process some vehicles through Benicia – east of Oakland, Richmond and San Francisco in northern California – by autumn 2006.

For distribution throughout Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas and parts of California, these vehicles are presently imported through the port at Long Beach, California, where Toyota’s rail-yard lease expires at the end of 2006. The automaker also maintains a west coast port facility at Portland, Oregon.

Portside vehicle processing at Toyota’s 34-acre, 25,000-square-foot facility will be handled by Amports, which has 40 years experience in the business.
