Nissan North America has chosen XM Satellite Radio, America’s larger satellite radio service with more than 3.2 million subscribers, to supply satellite-delivered data and telematics services, such as in-vehicle messaging and XM NavTraffic, which delivers current traffic information to suitably equipped Nissan and Infiniti navigation systems.
“Nissan’s choice to expand its relationship with XM in this important area of data services and telematics capabilities is a major milestone for our company,” XM CEO Hugh Panero. “[We have] dedicated significant resources to the development of XM NavTraffic and other automotive data capabilities over the last two years.”
Nissan offers optional XM radios on all 18 Nissan and Infiniti model lines.
