Delphi Corporation said on Thursday that it has won electrical/electronic distribution systems vehicle programme content this year totalling $US2.7 billion in revenue for the life of the contracts, which support 17 automotive and heavy-duty truck manufacturers globally. Most contracts begin for model years 2005 and 2006.
“This has been a record year for quoting on new vehicle programmes,” said Delphi Packard Electric Systems E/EDS business line executive Paul Miller.
These sales represent various levels of vehicle optimisation and integration based on customer needs and vehicle complexity. Delphi will support the contracts with design development and engineering and a range of products.
“As we continue growing our business, we are looking for ways to expand into adjacent transportation industries providing tiered suppliers and heavy-duty truck customers with a full range of products and solutions through optimisation and systems integration,” Miller added.
