Senior US trade officials are travelling to Beijing in an attempt to push China for greater action on protecting intellectual property, reported the Financial Times.

According to the reports, during the visit government officials will also try to open the Chinese market further for US car parts.
The newspaper said visiting US officials will question intellectual property enforcement in China at the forthcoming meetings, which are being held ahead of president George Bush’s trade showdown with China’s president Hu Jintao at the end of April, in Washington.
