Independent new car importer Broadspeed.com has joined with its long-standing
ferry company partner Stena to offer British new car buyers a ‘Test-Cruise’ to
meet dealers in Holland. The return ferry trip from Harwich to the Hook of Holland
is ‘free’ for potential new car buyers signing up for Broadspeed.com’s ‘£150
pre-order fee’.

Scheduled for 9 and 10 December, 2000, the ‘Test-Cruise’ will give potential
private import customers the chance to personally meet European dealers willing
to supply right-hand-drive cars and an opportunity to test drive a selection
of vehicles from different automakers.

Buyers can attend a Broadspeed car import presentation during the three hour,
40-minute ferry crossing to the Hook of Holland on Saturday 9th November. On
arrival, at least 20 franchised Dutch dealers will be on hand in the ferry terminal
to offer advice, brochures, price lists and delivery lead time information (there
is usually a wait of two to five months for right-hand drive cars in Holland,
according to the Broadspeed.com website).

The Dutch dealers will return to the ferry port on Sunday 10th November with
their demonstrator fleets, allowing potential buyers “to test drive…
without any of the pressure associated with traditional car showroom experiences,”
Broadspeed.com says. Orders can be placed while in Holland or faxed after returning
home. The return trip back to England leaves at 4.30pm.
