The Thai News Service reports that Toyota Motors has set up a centre to develop and test automotive software in Thailand.


Toyota Motors has invested 32 million baht to establish Toyota Tochu Electronics (Thailand), a company that will develop and test embedded software systems for automobiles based on designs originated in Japan.


The company will employ 70 engineers next year, up from 28 at present. It will help produce applications for computerised systems controlling many different aspects of motor vehicle operation.
