Bus and truck maker Volvo was reported to have said on Tuesday it would invest SKR530m ($US76.3m) in a French plant of subsidiary Renault Trucks to increase assembly and painting capacity.

Renault Trucks’ cab plant in Blainville produces cabs for all of its truck models. The changes at the plant are scheduled to be completed in 2009, the company said in a statement cited by the Associated Press (AP).
