Autoliv has announced that it plans to establish a joint venture in China with the Chinese company Maw Hung Industrial Corporation.

The new company, Autoliv Changchun Maw Hung Vehicle Safety Systems Co Ltd (ACC), will be based in the city of Changchun, where it plans to manufacture seat belts, airbags and other advanced automotive safety systems, Autoliv said.
Initially the products would be manufactured for the Audi A6, Volkswagen Jetta and for a number of Chinese car makers.
