According to Reuters, the National Carmakers’ Association ANFAC said on Monday that new car sales in Spain fell 5.6% year-on-year in January to 90,612 units.

Four-wheel-drive car sales rose by 0.5% to 6,025 units in January, Reuters added.
The news agency said both figures are provisional and that ANFAC usually produces definitive sales figures later in the month.
In 2002, new car sales fell 6.6% and four-wheel-drive sales fell 7.5% while in December, new car sales rose 7.7% year-on-year to 114,506 units, Reuters noted.
