The Korea Herald reports that Kia Motors has said that it will unveil a new large-size luxury sedan early next year.

The report says that the new Kia model is codenamed GH (short for grand heritage), will have engine displacements of 2.7 to 3.5 litre, as well as feature safety enhancements such as active headrests and electronic braking systems.

The Herald adds that the new luxury sedan will not be Kia branded and will only carry its name, to be selected from three candidates – Opirus, Regent and Konzern. “The new sedan will be extensively promoted among successful venture business owners in their 30s and 40s, chief executives aged over 50 and other high-income brackets,” a company official told the newspaper.
