Kia Motors is about to launch a redesigned K-series commercial light truck range: the K2700, K2500 TCi, and K3000S.

Production will commence in August. Kia claims the news range is ideally positioned between the two major segments of the global light truck market (1.5 box trucks popular in Europe and one-box trucks popular elsewhere) and offers more attractive dimensions and styling than its competitors – it is 430mm longer, 45mm wider, on a 70 mm longer wheelbase than the rival Toyota Dyna.

Kia will offer K-series buyers a choice of two naturally aspirated diesel engines (2.7 litre and 3.0 litre) and one 2.5 liter TCI turbocharged diesel engine, each mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
