Hyundai said it would increase its dealer network in China from 802 to 860 this year to further boost its sales there.
The move follows a meeting of 104 top sales representatives from Beijing Hyundai, the carmaker’s Chinese joint venture, on a five-day visit to Korea. The automaker is looking to increase sales particularly in central and western China.
Its top 104 sales people sold 20,082 cars last year, about 193 per person.
