Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors combined domestic sales fell by 12% year on year to 93,254 in November, for a market share of 78.3%, according to data released by the companies.
The lower sales reflect fewer working days during the month and high year earlier comparisons.
The two brands have also come under increasing pressure in their home market from imports, as western luxury brands have continued to expand into this market – albeit from very low levels.
