The Slovenian News Digest reports that new car sales in Slovenia totalled 51,898 units in the first 10 months of 2003, up 12.2% year-on-year, the Slovenian Interior Ministry said.
Renault led the market with 12,519 sold cars and a 42.1% market share, followed by Volkswagen with 5,482 sold cars and a 10.6% market share. Peugeot achieved sales of 5,339 units and a 10.3% market share while Citroen captured a 7.5% market share and Fiat managed a share of 6.2%.
The Renault Clio model was the best selling car in Slovenia in the period with sales of 6,670 cars and a 12.9% market share, followed by the Peugeot 206 with 3,372 units and Fiat Punto with 2,433 units.
New car sales in Slovenia totalled 4,854 in October 2003, an 8.9 pct year-on-year increase.
