Volkswagen’s Slovak assembly plant will stop production for two weeks from 18 July and will continue tooling up for a new model during this summer closedown.
Preparation works for a launch of a new small-size model, scheduled for autumn, will continue during this year’s summer holiday, the carmaker told Reuters.
The assembly plant, located near Slovak capital Bratislava, will be back on line on 1 August.
