Russia’s car output rose 95.7% between January and October compared to the same period a year ago to 954,000 units according to data from the economic development ministry.
The increase in output was attributed mainly last year’s low output when the industry was hit by the global economic crisis leading to the suspension of production at some car plants.
Russia’s truck output rose 66.8% on the year to 119,000 units in January–October.
