Toyota has revised its car output forecast for its plant in the Russian city of St. Petersburg in 2011 down by 18% to 14,000 cars this year.

Matsunaga Yoshinori, general director of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Russia said the plant is expected to manufacture fewer cars in 2011 compared to 2010 due to an assembly line upgrade the seventh generation Camry.

Last month Toyota Motors Europe President Didier Leroy said Toyota planned to increase output at St Petersburg 7.0% year on year to 17,000 cars in 2011.

The plant is to start producing the new Camry later this month or in early November. It has an annual production capacity of 20,000 vehicles.
