Russian petrochemicals firm Sibur on Friday said it had suspended talks with creditors of Russian-Dutch tyre manufacturer Amtel-Vredestein to buy the firm’s debts but was still looking to buy its assets.

Sibur said in a statement cited by the Reuters news agency that it had suspended talks with Amtel’s creditors because of a lack of decision from Russia’s largest bank, Sberbank, on whether to participate in Amtel’s debt restructuring.
