DaimlerChrysler plans to increase sales of Mercedes cars through official dealerships in Russia by 24.6% in 2005, ZAO DaimlerChrysler Automobiles RUS sales and marketing director Mikhail Zaidel said at a press conference on Tuesday.
According to the Interfax news agency, he said that in 2005 the company plans to sell 5,000 Mercedes cars in Russia, including SUV, up from 4,014 units in 2004. The company plans to do this by launching new Mercedes models on the Russian market and expanding its dealership network. This year the company will open one dealership in St. Petersburg and three in other Russian regions.
