AvtoVAZ has received around 10,000 orders for its Lada Granta model cars since the start of last month, the company’s vice president for sales and marketing Artyom Fedosov told the business daily Vedomosti.

The carmaker is accepting orders on its website and dealers should conclude a deal and supply a vehicle within five days following an advance payment. The Granta, developed on the platform of the Lada Kalina, is expected to replace the Lada 2105/07 and AvtoVAZ plans to assemble 150,000 next year.

The carmaker also said that its domestic sales increased 19.8% year on year to 443,917 vehicles in January–September. The Lada Kalina was the most popular model on the Russian market in the period with 109,785 sold, up 49.2%.
