Ford’s Russian subsidiary has agreed to raise workers’ wages by 11.8% and granted other benefits, the company’s press office said Thursday.
The wage hike is stipulated in amendments to the collective agreement between the management and workers.
The additional agreement also includes more vacation time for long-term employees, higher one-time maternity allowance, and additional employment guarantees.
The labour union of Ford’s St Petersburg plant held warning strikes on March 25, after failing to agree on amendments to the collective agreement.
The labour union originally demanded a 25% wage hike, Prime-Tass reports.
