Toyota will dispatch representatives to Mexico to look for a suitable location
for an assembly plant, Mexican financial daily El Economista reported.

Officials from the Mexican border state of Sonora visiting Toyota in Japan
were told that the Japanese company would consider sites in northern Mexico
and southern United States for a new factory, Sonora state minister of economic
development Roberto Gonzalez Laborin said.

Gonzalez told the newspaper that the Mexican delegation stressed the potential
advantages of building a plant in the Sonora-Arizona economic region to Toyota.

He added that the Japanese had welcomed the information and promised to send
a team to inspect potential locations.
