Mexico’s car industry produced 129,237 vehicles in February, down from the 143,213 produced in the same month of 2002, the Mexican Automotive Industry Association (AMIA) said on Tuesday, according to Reuters.
The newsagency said that exports by Mexico-based car makers totaled 95,645 units in February, down from 107,487 in February 2002.
According to Reuters, Mexico, which manufactured 1.774 million cars in 2002, down 2.4% from 2001, is the 10th largest vehicle producer in the world.
