New vehicle sales in Malaysia increased by 12.6% to 50,718 units in February, from the 45,046 units sold in the same month of last year, according to data released by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA).
Passenger car sales increased amounted to 45,704 units last month, while commercial vehicle sales reached 5,014 units.
Sales in the first two months of the year increased by just under 1% to 100,991 units, from 100,112 units a year earlier, reflecting weak sales in January.
