Nissan Motor’s cost-cutting policy
has come under fire from a leading official of Japan’s auto parts industry body
Thursday (7/12/00), says Kyodo News.
Kazunori Shibasaki – vice chairman of the Japan Auto Parts Industries Association
-says that Nissan’s cost-cutting plan is having a negative effect on the profit
of member companies.
Mr Shibasaki also said that Nissan’s procurement cost cutbacks are causing
problems for the management of auto-component makers.
