Isuzu Motors will end decades of passenger car sales when it takes its Aska model off the Japanese market early next year to concentrate on SUV, light and heavy truck and diesel engine manufacture.
Isuzu stopped making its own cars in 1993 but stayed in the market by selling re-badged Hondas.
The Aska is based on the Accord which is due to be redesigned this autumn.
