Isuzu Motors considering producing trucks in Saudi Arabia around 2009, becoming the first Japanese manufacturer to start vehicle production in the Middle Eastern nation, sources close to the matter have said.
The step is intended to meet rapid growth in Saudi Arabia’s truck demand arising from the construction boom fuelled by the country’s rising wealth amid soaring oil prices, the sources told Kyodo News.
