Honda has said it will accept in full its labour union’s bonus demands as part of annual wage negotiations.

The firm said in a statement that as employees have worked ‘unprecedentedly hard’ amid tough business conditions, Honda has decided to grant the union’s demand in full.

Honda will fully comply with its union’s demand for the first time in two years.

The decision by Honda is expected to affect other manufacturers as they continue negotiations with their labour unions this week.
