DaimlerChrysler
Japan Co. said on Tuesday that it has registered with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure
and Transport to recall 472 Mercedes Benz Actros trucks due to defects in the
wheel hubs, Kyodo News reported.

The company will collect and repair for free trucks made between June 1997
to July 1999.

Fractures may occur in the wheel hubs, which, in the worst case, could cause
the wheels to come off, the report said.
