A breakthrough in recharging electric vehicles is possible following the announcement by Osaka based Daihen Corporation that it has developed a cordless recharger that could work on a wide range of electric vehicles.
Although information is limited, such chargers could be installed on roads, recharging EVs while they are running or in car parks to recharge stationary EVs.
Daihen said that it now plans to work with research organisations and electric utility companies to try to commercialise its cordless system.
