Japanese new vehicle sales are expected to fall to the lowest level in more than three decades over the coming year as the global economic downturn crushes demand for cars, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association said.

Sales in Japan are expected to slump to the lowest level in 32 years in the next business year starting in April, falling 8% to 4.3m vehicles.
