BOLOGNA, Italy, Dec. 8 – Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A., has announced that Massimo Bordi, general manager, is leaving the Company to pursue other career opportunities. Among Mr. Bordi’s achievements during his years of service at Ducati were the development of the Ducati 916 and the Desmoquattro engine. He also made significant contributions to the success of Ducati’s racing team in recent years.

“Ducati takes this opportunity to thank Mr. Bordi for giving so much to the Company and we wish him every success in the future,” said Carlo Di Biagio, Chief Executive Officer of Ducati Motor Holding. “The Company hopes to have the opportunity to work with Mr. Bordi again in the areas of racing and engine development in order to benefit from his extensive knowledge and experience.”

“The greater part of my career has involved participating on exciting projects at Ducati,” commented Mr. Bordi. “I am particularly proud of the Company’s growth over the last decade. During these past four years — with Ducati’s new international team — we have worked together to create a truly global company which has enjoyed spectacular results. A part of my heart will always remain at Ducati.”

“Ducati does not plan to replace Mr. Bordi,” continued Mr. DiBiagio. “Rather, we consider his departure an opportunity to review the structure of our operations and to grow into a more de-verticalized organization as a platform for future growth.”
