The cost of overhauling Italian carmaker Fiat could rise to €2.1 billion from the €1.8 billion total forecast in its business plan, CEO Giuseppe Morchio said, according to Reuters.

Morchio reportedly added the additional cost would be covered by capital gains not included in the strategic plan, including the recent sale of the parent Fiat group’s stake in utility company Edison.
