New vehicle sales in Indonesia increased by 32.4% to 69,127 units in October, from 52,226 units a year earlier, according to data released by the country’s largest distributor – PT Astra International. Volumes were up by 40.6% compared with the previous month.
Toyota sold a total of 25,322 units to take a 36.6% market share; followed by Daihatsu with 10,708 units (15.5%); Mitsubishi-Fuso 9,407 units (13.6%); and Suzuki 7,015 units (10.1%).
The cumulative ten-month total was up by 60.5% to 625,323 units, from 389,689 units a year earlier.
