Denso Indonesia has inaugurated its third plant – in Bekasi, a satellite city east of the capital Jakarta, to support the country’s growing automotive industry.
The new plant produces camshaft timing systems, wheel speed sensors, fuel injection systems, meter clusters, sonar systems, ECUs, alternators, starter motors and spark plugs.
Denso already had two plants in Indonesia, supplying a broad range of electrical parts, HVAC and engine cooling systems, to the county’s Japanese dominated vehicle production sector.
Denso Indonesia is a joint venture between Denso Corporation’s wholly-owned Singaporean subsidiary Denso International Asia, local component group PT Astra Otoparts and Japan’s Toyota Tsusho Corporation.
