New vehicle sales in Indonesia rose by 21% to 78,266 units in September, 59% to 78,266 units in September, from 49,147 units a year earlier, according to industry association Gaikindo.

The market seemingly has remained unaffected by the growing global economic uncertainty and the recent turmoil in financial markets. Cumulative sales for the nine-month period rose by 18.3% to 657,886 units, from 556,239 a year earlier.
