Profit before tax at Maruti Suzuki India rose 28% year on year to INR6,841m during the second quarter of fiscal 2007-08 while net profit was up 27% to INR4,665m.

Sales grew 33.7% to INR47,358m during the second quarter and 30.5% to INR88,899m in the first half. H1 net profit was up 31.1% to INR9,661m.
Q2 unit sales rose 17.8% to 191,325 vehicles, including 15,171 exports.
