Federal-Mogul Goetze, an Indian subsidiary of Federal Mogul is laying off 500 workers at its Bangalore plant in India.

The facility produces pistons, piston rings and pins and manufactures critical parts for Tata Motors’ Nano car and other vehicle manufacturers.
According to the spokesperson for Federal-Mogul Corporation, Jennifer Rass, as reported in Business Line, the company is laying off people because of the current situation in the automotive industry and reduction in customer orders.
