Cumulative sales for the financial year that began in April were 765,131 for passenger cars, up 22.7% from 623,782 in the same period a year earlier, the industry body told Reuters.
Sales of commercial vehicles rose 49.6% to 41,952 in December, the report added, while sales for the first nine months of 2006/07 were up 37.2% to 327,039.
