Honda Motor has launched a new Sensing 360+omnidirectional safety and driver-assistive system.

The original, launched with the CR-V on sale in China in 2022, removed blind spots around the vehicle with 360 degree sensing with five millimeter wave radar units in the front and at each corner of the vehicle.

The latest system has a driver monitoring camera and high definition maps to improve functions to monitor the driver’s condition and to control the vehicle, respectively, to further reduce driver burden.

The new system will first be in the Accord on sale in China in 2024 before being offered in other markets.
