The sixth generation of the Volkswagen Golf will be launched in 2008, a year earlier than originally planned, according to the Financial Times Deutschland.
The newspaper said Volkswagen will correct errors in the design and manufacture of Golf V and make the new model cheaper to build. It is not currently profitable, even though it is the top-seller in its segment.
