Carlos Ghosn, the man credited with turning Nissan around and building the highly successful Renault-Nissan alliance has reportedly turned down an offer to work for Ford.

The former head of Nissan who is now CEO of Renault was reported to have turned down the Ford overture in a report carried by Bloomberg, which also said that the offer from Ford has been declined by the Brazilian for the second time in three years.

The Bloomberg News report, citing people familiar with the situation, said Ghosn was concerned the Ford family’s 40% voting stake could limit his influence.
