German newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung has reported that PSA Peugeot-Citroen and BMW are discussing an expansion of their existing cooperation.

PSA CEO Christian Streiff said PSA could supply more engines to BMW, Sueddeutsche Zeitung reported.

He said the discussions are the usual talks between companies which are working together on technical issues.

PSA is currently supplying diesel engines to BMW’s Mini brand cars.

Analysts say that OEMs are likely to consider more cooperations to save costs in current market conditions.
