Porsche says it delivered almost 21,500 vehicles during April – up 32% compared to the same month of last year.

In the first four months of 2015, the sports car manufacturer added it also delivered more than 72,500 vehicles.

“We picked up the positive momentum from the first quarter and were able to carry forward the growth trend in all regions thanks to our attractive model range”, said sales and marketing board member, Bernhard Maier.

“The new Boxster Spyder we presented in New York at the beginning of April is an example of a purist and perfect sports car enjoyed by Porsche fans all over the world.”

The manufacturer said its 911 model was in demand during April with almost 5,000 new cars delivered in China – 46% more compared to the same month last year

The 911, Boxster and Cayman, Cayenne, Macan and Panamera sports cars were also popular in the US market, where 5,200 models were sold, up 28%.
