Mercedes is to launch a hybrid car in 2008, according to a German news report. The model would be the brand’s first move into hybrids.
DaimlerChrysler’s research chief Thomas Weber told Wirtschaftswoche magazine: “We’re well on track and will bring a competitive concept to the market at the start of 2008.”
The report said a “mild” hybrid version of the Mercedes S-class would come to market in 2008.
