Leoni has recorded a year-on-year sales increase of more than 13% to EUR1.2bn (US$1.3bn) in the second quarter of 2015.
Adjusted for exchange rates, the European provider of cables and cable systems to the automotive sector and other industries also grew by 5% year- on-year in the first six months.
The Group’s earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose by more than 6% to EUR50.4m in the second quarter of 2015, compared to the previous year of EUR47.3m.
EBIT of EUR85.5m for the first six months was, because of the weaker first quarter, around 13% below the figure for the same period in 2014; EUR97.9m.
After taxes, the company recorded consolidated net income of EUR51.8m for the period from January to June 2015 – the previous year was EUR61.4m.
