Ford Europe said on Tuesday its president and chief operating officer Martin Leach had decided to leave the company to pursue new opportunities, Reuters reported.
The news agency said the move follows a shock $US525 million pre-tax loss for the second quarter at Ford’s European arm.
David Thursfield, executive vice president of the company and president of international operations will oversee operations in the interim, Reuters said, citing a Ford Europe statement.
